Different lacquers are designed for different applications and tasks. Each lacquer has its own characteristics, so the right choice depends on the requirements of your project and your preferred way of working.
Montana GOLD and Montana BLACK 400ml are compatible with each other. Montana BLUE can also be combined with other paint types once it has fully cured. We always recommend testing compatibility on a sample surface before starting your project.

What is Water-Based Paint (Montana BLUE spray paint)?
Montana BLUE is a water- and alcohol-based spray paint with a modified polyurethane binder. Its low-odor, highly pigmented formula provides excellent coverage and very strong adhesion on a wide range of surfaces.
The paint is quick to overpaint and suitable for indoor and outdoor applications. Once fully cured after approximately 48–72 hours, it becomes weather-resistant. Always allow Montana BLUE to cure completely before applying synthetic, acrylic, or other water-based paints over it.
What is Acrylic Paint (Montana GOLD spray paint)?
Montana GOLD is a solvent-based lacquer formulated with acrylic resin combined with nitrocellulose and alkyd resin. It dries quickly due to the rapid evaporation of the solvents used.
What is Nitro-Combi Paint (Montana BLACK spray paint)?
Montana BLACK is a solvent-based lacquer consisting of nitrocellulose and alkyd resin. It dries quickly due to the rapid evaporation of the solvents used.
What is Synthetic Paint (Montana WHITE spray paint)?

Montana WHITE is an alkyd resin-based lacquer that oxidizes—or dries—by reacting with oxygen. The lacquer retains its volume after the solvents have evaporated, resulting in a longer drying time than acrylic or nitro-combi lacquers.
Synthetic resin is also more sensitive to UV exposure than acrylic and nitro-combi lacquers.
