Shake can vigorously for 2-3 minutes before use. Apply paint in several thin layers, spraying in sweeping motions. Allow each coating to dry for at least 5 minutes. Further coats of alternative products might require a drying time of 24 hours or more depending on application style. Always test spray on a non-visible area to check the compatibility of lacquer or paint. For optimal lifespan, store cans with the nozzle on.

- Surfaces should be dry and clean of oil, dirt or rust

- Shake the can well for at least 3 minutes

- Spray distance should be at least 15-20cm

- Test spray on a non-visible area

- Apply at least 2-3 layers in a grid pattern. Leave every layer to dry at least 5 min.

- To expand the lifespan of the paint layer, it should be treated with Montana Varnish Spray

Is Montana BLACK the same as Montana GOLD?

Montana BLACK is not the same as GOLD. BLACK has higher pressure that enables greater output in a shorter time. It dries faster and is more matte in finish. All the colors are optimised for greatest opacity.

Montana BLACK winterproof?

Absolutely! Montana BLACK is possibly the best performing spray can in extreme weather conditions. It has been proven to perform perfectly in cold temperatures. Please note that a drop in can pressure can begin to occur when the temperature reaches 0° and below. For best performance it is important to keep your cans warm for as long as possible.

Can I apply Montana BLACK wet on wet?

Yes you can apply Montana BLACK colors immediately wet on wet even though it is the fastest drying of the Montana-Cans range. Please note reactions may occurr if normal Montana BLACK colors are applied over metallic or tar based colors. We recommend applying these after the metallic or tar based colors have dried.

Can I combine my Montana BLACK with other spray paints?

Yes you can combine your Montana BLACK with other cans if the other cans are applied after the Montana BLACK has dried. If non compatible cans are applied over wet Montana BLACK, cracks and reactions may occurr due to incompatibility.

Is the Montana BLACK range lightfast and UV resistant?

Montana BLACK is extremely light fast using only the highest quality European pigments and added UV blockers to increase the longevity and vibrance of the color. Please note the longevity of all paints will be subject to variables like exposure to UV light, exposure to the ellements, pre-treatment of the substrate or amount of coats applied.
